Children....... What to Expect

Before the shoot, I will of course need to know the ages and genders of the children that I will be working with. This will allow me to gather together some appropriate props and materials.
Dress your children in comfortable, cute clothing. I prefer outfits without characters on them (Elmo, Dora, etc), but maybe bright colors and/or patterns instead. Best of all, make sure your children are comfortable in what they are wearing!! This is key for having a happy child in pictures. :)
During the shoot, expect for your children to not want to sit still. This is perfectly normal and absolutely perfect for their portraits. Let them play, and please don't get upset when they don't want to cooperate with what you want them to do! This happens 99% of the time, and every single time out of those the parents love the shots that I get because they showcase the child's personality.
After your shoot, I will post about 10 pictures on my blog for your convenience. You may put these on your myspace, facebook, or e-mail them to family members if you'd like. All of the pictures will be up in 2-7 days on my main photography website.
